Our Ethos

True health comes from supporting the body’s ability to adapt.

Why we're different

Our unique approach

A Neurology-Led Way of Understanding Your Body

Rather than focusing on where you feel pain, we assess how your body is functioning as a whole. When the nervous system isn’t controlling the body efficiently, certain areas become overloaded whereas others underperform. By understanding how your brain and body communicate, we’re able to guide care with greater precision and purpose.

We Look for the Root, Not the Quick Fix

Many people come to us after trying things that helped briefly, but didn’t last. Our approach is to slow things down, ask better questions, and understand why an issue developed and keeps returning.

Care That Fits Real Life

We believe health-care should feel supportive and approachable, not clinical or intimidating. Our practice is designed to be a calm, welcoming space where you feel comfortable returning, asking questions, and prioritising your health as part of everyday life.

Dr JOSH SWINNEY

About me

Facing personal health challenges, including Bell’s Palsy and a venomous snake bite, changed how I viewed health. I learned that health isn’t black and white, nor is it about perfection. It’s about how well we adapt to the physical, chemical and mental demands of life.

Supporting my resilience through a neuromusculoskeletal lens became central to how I approached my own health, and is now the foundation of how I care for others.

Our Philosophy on Health

We take a proactive and holistic approach to health, grounded in the belief that true wellbeing comes from within. When properly supported, your body has an incredible ability to adapt, heal, and recover.

Why This Practice Exists

My Journey

Chiropractic always felt like the natural path. A science-based, non-invasive approach centred on restoring function and supporting the body’s innate ability to heal.

I went on to achieve a first-class honours Master’s degree in chiropractic and received the Outstanding Academic Student Award at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic.

But my perspective then changed through my own health challenges.

Developing Bell’s Palsy forced me to confront dysfunction firsthand, which came with much frustration and uncertainty.

When improvement was limited, I deepened my studies in Clinical Neuroscience through the Carrick Institute, focusing on how the nervous system integrates different systems to allow us to experience and navigate this world.

I learned that when these systems aren’t communicating clearly, the body doesn’t perform clearly. For some, that shows up as recurring back pain. For others, it’s tension, fatigue, or simply not feeling like themselves.

Later, a venomous snake bite in Sri Lanka tested my belief system again. With no anti-venom available for that species, I had to rely entirely on my body’s capacity to respond and recover.

Those experiences reinforced something fundamental: Health isn’t about perfection.

It’s about adaptability.

Today, my work is grounded in supporting that adaptability, strengthening the nervous system so the body can function the way it was designed to.

This practice exists because too many people feel rushed through care, with symptoms managed but underlying function overlooked.

I wanted to create a space where health feels proactive, thoughtful and sustainable, and where you feel seen, not processed.

Helping people feel and function more like themselves again is both a privilege and a responsibility I don’t take lightly.
